HTML5 is the foundation of impressive websites! In this comprehensive class, you will learn the most important concepts and elements of HTML and how to use them for effective web design. Step by step, you will practise creating an HTML framework, using different content elements and differentiating website structuring from other techniques such as Javascript and CSS. Numerous step-by-step instructions, examples and exercises provide practical knowledge about the possible uses and syntactic rules of HTML5. After completing this class you will be able to create appealing and functional websites with HTML5 and will have a solid foundation for advanced topics such as JavaScript and CSS. This equips you for a diverse professional career in the frontend.
Websites are no longer only viewed on PCs and large screens. In times of rapidly growing numbers of mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones, web designers have to create adaptable - responsive - websites for a wide range of screen sizes. A Herculean task that can be solved excellently with the use of CSS, among other things. The first part of our class on responsive web design introduces the use of CSS and teaches how to integrate CSS into a website and test it in practical exercises. In addition, there is basic knowledge of inheritance, color models and color assignments, classes, IDs and selectors, layout areas, backgrounds, web fonts and the precise positioning of elements. The class is rounded off by the elegant use of pseudo-classes and pseudo-elements, which makes working with responsive web design easier and gives you up-to-date skills for professional tasks.
A responsive design improves the user experience and helps to keep more visitors on your website. Our advanced CSS course builds on your basic knowledge from the CSS Fundamentals class and complements it with the latest techniques to improve usability. You will learn about flexbox and CSS grids to create responsive designs with ease. You will also learn various animation and transformation techniques to integrate movement and interactivity into your websites. Using media queries, you will apply different styles based on device characteristics to ensure an optimal experience on different screen sizes. The aim of the course is to provide you with the tools and knowledge to design stunning websites and take your CSS skills to the next level for a successful career in web design.
