CSS is a great help in responsive website design. However, the extensive functions of CSS sometimes make working with CSS difficult. In order to use this powerful tool of responsive design advantageously and to automate the work with style sheets, there are now so-called CSS preprocessors. In this class, you will learn about the growing challenges and limitations of CSS and be introduced to a solution in the form of the CSS preprocessor SCSS. You will learn how to use SCSS, a CSS preprocessor, to streamline CSS development, improve efficiency, and overcome CSS limitations. You will master SCSS syntax, features, and best practices through hands-on exercises.
Different screen sizes and the peculiarities of end devices pose challenges for web design today. With Bootstrap, budding web designers have a powerful tool at their disposal to design websites that look attractive and display robustly on different devices and screen sizes. In this class you will learn to create responsive websites using Bootstrap’s built-in components and then customizing them to your needs using SCSS. Our class uses many examples and step-by-step instructions.
