Master Relational Database Design and SQL
The modern Internet processes a gigantic flood of data every day. What to do with all this data? A data management concept that has proven itself for decades has also taken web development by storm: the relational database model. Learn to design and manage efficient relational databases using MySQL and UML. This module covers essential database concepts, including normalization, indexing, and query optimization. You'll gain hands-on experience with SQL, the standard language for interacting with relational databases.
After completing this module, you'll be able to:
Design and implement relational databases:Â You will learn how to design efficient database structures using normalization techniques and create databases using MySQL.
Write SQL queries:Â You will be able to write SQL queries to retrieve, insert, update, and delete data from databases.
Optimize database performance:Â You will learn techniques to optimize database performance, such as indexing and query optimization.
Understand database concepts:Â You will gain a solid understanding of fundamental database concepts, including data modeling, normalization, and ACID properties.
This module consists of the following classes:
This class focuses on modern data management concepts, including relational databases, database migrations, indexing, sorting, relationships, and object-relational mapping. It provides hands-on experience with MySQL and UML to prepare you with the required base knowledge for successful data management with a focus on the development of web applications.Â
