Certified AI Officer
In this certification, you will learn how to use artificial intelligence strategically, securely, and in compliance with regulations in your company—going beyond a mere understanding of the technology. You will learn how to create a stable governance foundation, promote innovation, and at the same time manage the risks of autonomous systems. You will also receive official certification of your professional qualification in working with AI systems in accordance with the EU AI Act (Chapter 1, Article 4).
After completing this certification, you will be able to:
Develop and implement strategic AI governance frameworks. You will design a foundation for managing AI projects, implement the regulatory requirements of the EU AI Act, and plan the necessary compliance measures as proof of conformity.
Establish ethical guidelines as a quality feature. You will analyze complex ethical issues and formulate concrete, practical guidelines to ensure the fairness, transparency, and auditability of your AI systems.
Control AI risk management and the model lifecycle. You proactively identify and assess risks and ensure the secure, continuous operation (ModelOps) and maintenance of AI models.
Develop data-driven AI strategies and shape change. You will design a company-wide AI strategy aligned with business objectives and develop change management measures to promote acceptance and cross-departmental collaboration.
The following modules of the WPI curriculum are required for this certification:
Acquire crucial AI expertise. In this module, you will learn how to assess potential and risks and how to confidently apply the legal requirements of the EU AI Act, data protection, and copyright law.
Become a trusted AI officer. In this class, you will learn the strategic and practical methods for implementing AI governance and leveraging compliance with the EU AI Act as a strategic competitive advantage.
Certification as a Certified AI Officer includes levels 1 and 2 of the three-level certification as an AI Manager. The module Leading with AI can also be taken individually at many of our education partners in order to achieve the next level of certification as an AI Manager. Certification as an AI Officer already includes certification as an AI Assistant.
