Understanding AI: Foundations, Risks, and Regulations
Mastering artificial intelligence has become a crucial core competency in modern professional life. After completing this module, you will be able to
understand the basics and different types of AI and, on this basis, assess their potential and limitations in professional life
understand and explain the most important requirements of the EU AI Act, specifically the approach to risk assessment and the need for human oversight
identify and evaluate fundamental risks and ethical aspects, such as discrimination, transparency issues, and security concerns, when dealing with AI
overview important legal frameworks such as data protection and copyright law in the context of AI use
The module Understanding AI: Fundamentals, Risks, Laws consists of the following classes:
This class is aimed at anyone who has had little or no contact with artificial intelligence to date but would like to work with AI systems or use their results in the future. It provides the necessary knowledge to safely and responsibly leverage the opportunities offered by AI in a professional context. The focus is also on personal certification in the use of AI systems, as required by the EU AI Act (Chapter 1, Article 4). The class combines theoretical knowledge with practical examples and interactive elements to provide a solid foundation for the competent use of artificial intelligence in the workplace.
